Compensation: $150 per story
Overview:
Clematis Men is seeking a talented Freelance Multimedia Journalist based in Florida to uncover, report, and create compelling stories that resonate with our audience. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, meaning you’ll be responsible for your own equipment and taxes, and will work on a project basis. We’re looking for someone with a strong journalism background, an eye for great stories, and the skills to produce high-quality multimedia content, from gathering information to editing and final production.
What You’ll Do:
• Research, uncover, and pitch story ideas that align with Clematis Men’s values and audience.
• Conduct interviews, gather content, and produce multimedia pieces (video, written, audio) for various platforms.
• Edit and refine raw content into polished, engaging stories that reflect our brand voice.
• Work independently to manage your own schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the Clematis Men team to ensure content aligns with the broader brand strategy.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a multimedia journalist, content creator, or similar role.
• Strong skills in storytelling across multiple formats (written, video, audio).
• Proficiency with video and audio editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Audition, etc.).
• Strong research and interviewing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Must be based in Florida and able to cover stories locally (remote work possible but local storytelling preferred).
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must own and maintain equipment necessary for content production (unless otherwise specified).
Compensation:
• pay based on project scope and deliverables, requested videos budget to be discussed before any work is started.
• This is a 1099 contractor position, meaning you will submit invoices for payment upon project completion.
• As a contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
